a wonderful day to sit and read and daydream yet sitting must wait

the little kitten cuddles me with her sharp claws it is true, love hurts

need to buy breakfast the rumble in my belly changes to laughter

sure, fruit looks pretty but I know that the noodles win every time

the fridge sings it’s song a food cooling lullaby tempting me to eat

watching the light fade, feeling the cold gnaw my bones; time to go home now

all about is still while up above clouds move fast summer starts to wane

baby blue petals awoken by the morning illumination

the sun on my tongue while I carry these flowers to my mother’s grave

rumble of traffic beneath the orange street lamps where moths learn to dance
